  • Queer, Chinese diaspora, Cook, community dream doula, narrative and cultural worker, asker of good questions, creative gatherer, land steward.

I cook as a form of resistance, weaving together people, food, land, and culture. I am a cultural worker, using food and story to change the way we live. I doula community dreams as a radical act of world-building and accompaniment. I ask good questions, mostly because I’m curious, but also because change requires asking the right questions. I gather people in creative ways as forms of play to build new worlds. I train in zen for a thriving future for our descendants. I get my hands in the soil because she’s got lots to teach us! My work is sacred because it’s about bearing life of all kinds. Teachers: Norma Wong, trees. Let’s share a meal together?

With QiKi, I feed our crew, I hype them up, and I aspire to offer tai-ji.

Nuffy hails from the Chinese-Jamaican diaspora and they are grateful to call Ohlone land home. They are a Yin Fire Rabbit and have a Leo stellium in the 6th house- (the house of work, health and daily habits)- which has very much led them to feel at home in Chinese Medicine. What began as a community Qi Gong practice and a desire to connect to their Chinese ancestral ways of being and knowing ended up in a Masters in Traditional Chinese Medicine and becoming a licensed acupuncturist.

To Nuffy, QiKi is a dream of world building around community care with other queer asian holders of ancestral medicine/care + purpose. They are excited about offering acupuncture, cupping, ear seeds, qi gong, and good times. They love curating beautiful- warm- life-giving community spaces.

Nuffy works at Bitter Melon Acupuncture and is developing their Facial Acupuncture private practice. You can also find them in the redwoods, by the ocean, on the dance floor, with their giant cat, hanging out with plants and baking muffins :)
